Elizabeth Ruth Ashworth

Elizabeth Ruth Ashworth, 86 of Fayetteville, Ark. passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 in Fayetteville. She was born September 22, 1932 in Clinton, Ark. to Lawrence House and Adalaide Ruth (Evans) House. She was the owner and operator of City Liquor Store in Fayetteville for over 30 years. She had one son, David Lawrence Cates, who passed away in 1993. She is survived by her sister, Bernice Harner of Fayetteville, Ark., four nieces, Nancy Porter and husband Rickie of Fayetteville, Ark., Jean Nail and husband Mike of Fayetteville, Ark., Donna Van Hoose of Morrilton, Ark., Judy Gunderman and husband Bill of Morrilton, Ark., and three nephews, Jerry House of Fayetteville, Ark., Jeff House and wife Debbie of Elm Springs, Ark., and Larry Davenport and wife Karolyn of Fayetteville, Ark. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, January 14th in the chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Fulcher officiating.
