Charles Robert "Bob" Yockey

Charles Robert "Bob" Yockey, 97, of Flippin Arkansas passed away Friday, January 11, 2019, in Flippin. He was born in Mapleton, Iowa on April 26, 1921 to Rex and Alice (Watkins) Yockey. He married the love of his life, Virginia Bell of Webster City, Iowa. Bob graduated for the University of Iowa with a BA in Business. He served his country in WWII as a B17 bomber pilot. Based out of Mendelsham, England, he flew many missions over Europe. Bob was a longtime resident of Russellville, Ark., but later moved to Flippin because he loved to go fishing on the White River with his sons. He is survived by his daughter, Michal Hall (Bill); three sons, Walter (Terri), John and Robert (Beth); a sister, Elizabeth Ilku of Detroit Mich.; as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Virginia. A private service will be held by the family at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Bryant, Ark.
