Mary L. Webb

Mary L. Webb, age 78 of Fernandina Beach, Florida passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Quality Health. She was born on March 1, 1940 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to the late Virgil and Pauline (Myers) Goff. Mary was a professional military spouse for 28 years creating homes for her family in 5 states and 3 countries. After retiring from military life in 1985, Mary transitioned to the role of preacher's wife, creating a home for her cherished church family until she moved to Fernandina Beach, Florida in 2012. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Rev. Howard L. Webb. She leaves behind her three sons, Mark Webb of Lawton Oklahoma, Mike Webb of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and Eric Webb of Fernandina Beach, Florida; her three grandchildren, Briley, Paul and Brennan Webb; her brother, Charles Goff of The Woodlands, Texas and beloved sister, Patsy (Goff) Fant of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 10 a.m. in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Home with Chaplain Jackie Hayes officiating. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Jacksonville National Cemetery following the service.
