Richard (Shim) Szymkowiak

Richard (Shim) Szymkowiak, 83, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, born March 5, 1935, passed away on January 8, 2019. Beloved husband of Maryalice (Tanger), father of Laura (Elmer) Guerrero of Ketchikan, Alaska and Carol (Peter) Dufek of Milwaukee, Wis.; loving grandfather to Amanda, Matthew, William, Melinda and Joseph; great-grandfather to Ethan and Ruby. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by many loving family members. Shim will be remembered for his love of hunting, fishing and traveling. His passion for art, included painting with oils. But what he loved most was his wife and family. A Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass of the Resurrection at 10 a.m., luncheon to follow, Saturday, January 19th at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Bella Vista, Arkansas.
