Samia Morkos Frangieh

Samia Morkos Frangieh, 67, of Maumelle passed away on December 21, 2018 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. She was born September 29, 1951 to Kahlil and Angelle Morkos in Beirut, Lebanon. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger Frangieh; and two brothers, Abraham Morkos and Sami Morkos. Samia is survived by cousins; Samir Morcos, Glendale, California and Simone Qumri of Jerusalem, Israel, as well as, family members in Lebanon, Israel, Sweden, Australia and Switzerland. Samia met Roger at a family wedding in Jerusalem in 1982. They were married in Cyprus in 1983. They lived in several U.S. cities before moving to Petit Jean Mountain when Roger accepted a position with Tanyard Springs Lodge. They both loved the Mountain but moved to Maumelle where Roger opened his business. They lived in Maumelle for 23 years and published the MauMag magazine. Samia worked as the Controller and Human Resource Manager at Power Technology, Inc for more than 20 years. She loved supporting Roger and being a part of the Maumelle community. Samia will be truly be missed by her family and friends, especially her Sunday night "Hallmark Movies and Mysteries" ladies. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 120 Millwood Circle, Maumelle.
