Alis Doyne Herring, 91, of Bee Branch, was reunited with his wife in heaven on Friday, January 18, 2019. He was born in Bee Branch to the late Bonnie Ingram and Faye (French) Herring on December 16, 1927. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Gilda Phyllis (Goodwin) Herring. Alis is a lifetime member of First Assembly of God in North Little Rock. He is a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, veteran of the Korean War, Sunday school teacher, choir member, deacon, Royal Rangers leader, and friend. Alis' greatest goal in life was to live for Jesus with his whole heart and pass that on to his daughters and grandchildren. Carrying on Alis' legacy are his three daughters, Phyllis Richmond (Mike), Donna Stowell (Jon) and Lynda Perez (David); seven grandchildren, Sara Woods (Clay), David Richmond, Nathan Stowell (Emily), Josh Stowell, Daniel Arnold (Melissa), Matthew Arnold (Charity), and Lori Arnold; and a host of great-grandchildren and other family. The family would like to thank the compassionate and caring staff at Sherwood Nursing and Rehab. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Friday, January 25, 2019 at First Assembly of God, 4501 Burrow Drive, North Little Rock, Ark., 72116. Burial will follow at 2:30 PM at Bee Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark., 72116 (501-791-7400).
