Donald D. Edwards

Donald D. Edwards, 88, of Springdale, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at his home. He was born February 4, 1930 in Dickens, Texas to Forrest and Inza Teague Edwards. He was preceded in death by his parents. Donald was an Army veteran. He was a member of Robinson Ave. Church of Christ and a Church of Christ minister for 40 years. Donald was a farmer, a traveling meat salesman and an owner of United Real Estate in Huntsville. He loved to fish and enjoyed gardening. He is survived by his wife, Marie Edwards of the home; a daughter, Sandy Stout and husband, Scott of Springdale; a brother, Gene Edwards of Holiday Island; granddaughter, Shari Oliver and husband, Derek of Fayetteville; grandson, Sean Holloway of Fayetteville; great-grandson, Dominick Oliver of Fayetteville; and two nieces and three nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2019 at Beard's Chapel. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Beard's Chapel with Glen Vanderpool and Freddy Gibson officiating. Interment will be private in the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
