Gertrude Sweetman

GERTRUDE SWEETMAN, 88, of Little Rock was a loving mother and wife. Gertrude worked for 42 years for Southwestern Bell and AT&T before retiring. She actively fished before and after retirement and loved spending time with her sisters. But more than anything else - she loved being around her granddaughter Lois. What a pair they were together. People who met Gertrude always referenced how nice she was. It was evident in the friends she had and the caregivers who interacted with her from the various independent, assisted living, and long term care facilities she lived in. Her family is especially appreciative of the care she received from Hickory Heights Health and Rehab and Kindred Hospice. Gertrude was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Gertrude is survived by her son, Rod, daughter-in-law Kathryn Hazelett and granddaughter Lois as well as a sister Rita Eslick and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother and three sisters. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Boniface Cemetery in Conway. www.griffinleggetthealeyroth.com.
