Helen Mae King, 82, of Cabot, departed this life on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019. She was born July 27, 1936, to Luther and Lilly (Tidwell) Miles. Helen, along with her late husband, Gayland, were the owners of Riverside Box Supply and King Mini Storage in Little Rock since 1968. In 1995, they moved to West Memphis and were active members of Marion Church of God. In 2016, due to failing health, they moved to Cabot to be closer to family. She was a great wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Above all else, Helen loved the Lord and attributed all her blessings and wonderful life to Him. Helen will be remembered as someone who was full of life and a dear friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 64 years, Gayland C. King; brothers, Hollis, Willard, Millard, Joseph, J.D., James and Aubrey Miles; sisters, Olar Faye Mattingly, Nellie and Annie Miles. Survivors include sons, John King of Haleyville, Ala., Kenneth (Debbie) King of Cabot; four grandchildren, Clint King, Kristen (Jacob) Crabb, Whitney (Trent) Tappan and Channing (Daniel) Emerson; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Oscar (Carolyn) Miles, Howard (Juanita) Miles; sister, Mary Ann (Rickey) Shirley, all of Haleyville, Ala. Celebration of life services will be held Monday, Jan. 28, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Ave., Jonesboro, Ark. 72401, with Steve Cypert officiating. Burial will follow at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Ark. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 2222, Little Rock, Ark. 72203.
