Bobby Lewis Battles

Bobby Lewis Battles, 81, of Conway went to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 27, 2019. He was born December 9, 1937 in Guy, Arkansas to the late Thomas Franklin and Arela Choice Battles. He attended the Arkansas State Teachers College. Bobby was a long time member of Robinson Ave. Baptist Church in Conway formally known as Calvary Church. He was a Superintendent at Covington Roofing Company, Owner at B & B Sheet Metal Company; where he installed heat/air in chain restaurants. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, son, Bobby Lewis Battles Jr., brothers, Benny Battles Sr. and JW Battles, sisters, Frankie Battles, Willie Pearson, Myrtle Hutchins, Lois Mills and Delsa Francis. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Virginia Covington Battles, son, Richard (Shonna) Battles of Greenbrier, daughter, Cindy Battles Houston of Conway, four grandchildren, Erick (Michelle) Rusch, Amanda (Maurio) Woodley, Amber (Jacob) Turner and Sara Battles, nine great-grandchildren, Amauri, Malik, Naia, Ronin, Koa and Sage Woodley; Paisley and Piper Rusch; Sawyer Turner, sister, Bronnie Ingram, brother in laws, Frank Moix and George (Janette) Covington and many more family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Nigel Sparks and staff at Simply Humble Beginnings for their loving care. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral Service will begin Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Robinson Ave Baptist Church in Conway with Burial following at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
