He was preceded in death by his parents Joe Amos Sr. and Viola Pearson-Amos, siblings: Nathaniel Amos, Al Amos, Louis Amos, Geraldine Davis, Hattie Amos, and Georgia Prater, nephew: Bryan Amos.
