Billy Joe Davis passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019, at Stonebridge Assisted Living in Cabot. He was born on Aug. 15, 1926, to the late Joseph and Alberta Davis. He had resided in Walnut Ridge for 90 years and spent the past two years in Cabot to be near his family. Bill was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge. He served in many capacities, including Chairman of the Deacons. He was a 42nd Degree Mason. In World War II, he volunteered to serve his country. The love of his life was his family. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Carolyn Wilkerson Davis. He is survived by his daughter, Theresa Kimberling (Gary) of Cabot, granddaughter, Kerri Moore of Cabot, great-grandchildren, Alexis, Carolyn Grace, Gavin, Jaci, Lilleanna, Ainsleagh and Hudson Moore, along with the children's father, Jon Moore, all of Cabot. He is also survived by a special sister-in-law, Nina McClintock of Jonesboro. Visitation will be at First Baptist Church on Sunday, Feb. 3, from 1-2 p.m., followed by the service at 2 p.m., officiated by Bro. Jake Guenrich. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park.
