Ray D. Ross

Ray D. Ross died Sunday, June 30, 2019, at Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis, Tenn. He was born to Baxter B. And Mary R. Ross on July 20, 1935, in Gilmore, Ark. He was engaged in various business enterprises over his working years. For several years he was a bulk distributor for Lion Oil Company in Crittenden County; he farmed for several years and most recently was the owner of the Ross Ford Toyota dealership in Wynne, Ark. Since his retirement that business is under the ownership and management of his son. Mr. Ross is survived by his wife, Joyce Upton Ross and his son, James A. Ross (Susie) of Wynne, Ark.; grandchildren Hunter Ross of Honolulu, Hawaii, Haley Ross of Singapore, and Chris Ross (Rebekah) of Wynne, Ark.; his wife's children, Ginger O'Bryant (Phil), Mike Waddell (Karen), and Pam Upton Capps (Curtis); Mrs. Ross's grandchildren Charlie (Bailey) Cooney; Morgan (Allen) Harris; Steven (Shelby) Capps; Morgan (Jacob) Patterson; Tyler (Lauren) O'Bryant; Laura Sharpe; Jennifer (Matt) O'Brien; April Waddell and Dillon Waddell; Mr. Ross's sister Anne Ross Hurst of Marion, Ark.; and brother Bobby Ross of Memphis, Tenn.; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Chaffin Ross; his parents, his brothers J.W.; Roy; and Arnold Ross and his sister Louise Ross Jones. At Mr. Ross's request, a private graveside service will be held on July 2, 2019, at Crittenden Memorial Park, Marion, Ark. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of the donors' choice.
