Clyde Douglas Holmes, 68, of Bryant, Ark., passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at John L. McClellan Veterans' Memorial Hospital in Little Rock. Mr. Holmes was born September 29, 1950, in Pine Bluff, Ark., a son of the late Clyde and Ruby Worthen Holmes. He was raised in Hardin and graduated from Dollarway High School in 1968. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged on November 9, 1971.
Mr. Holmes worked at John L. McClellan Veterans Memorial Hospital from which he retired after 18 years. He was a Baptist and a huge sports fan who loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Arkansas Razorbacks. He also loved to karaoke.
He is survived by his brother, John Ringo of Bryant; two sisters, Rissa Collins of Sheridan and Becky Smith of East End; and two half brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents.
