Marion Simpson Curtner

Marion Simpson Curtner, 89, died Thursday morning, July 11. She passed away peacefully in her North Little Rock apartment with her family by her side. Marion was a lifelong resident of Wynne. While primarily a homemaker, she also worked at a bank, was a church secretary, a bookkeeper and owned a children's clothing store. She was a faithful member of Grace Episcopal Church of Wynne for over 50 years. More recently, she was a member of Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd of Forrest City. She was active in the community, donating many hours to the Cross County Library and the Cross County Veterans Committee. She cherished her time with her afternoon coffee group. Marion was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Jennings Byron Curtner, her sister Laura Beene and nephew Guy M. Beene Jr. Mimi is survived by her only child Byron Curtner and wife Terry Meredith Curtner of North Little Rock, her beloved grandsons Russell Byron Curtner and wife Laura Bryan Curtner, and Travis Adams Curtner, both of Little Rock. She is also survived by her dear nieces and their families, Cozette Vaught of Wynne and Hannah Beene Lowder of Little Rock. Her nephews-in-law were also special to her, Dan and Mike Curtner and families of Wynne. Graveside services will be at Cogbill Cemetery in Wynne at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 13,2019. Memorials can be made to Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd of Forrest City.
