Mary Louise Paladino

Mary Louise (Adkins) Paladino, 100, of Conway, Ark., went to be with her Lord and Savior July 5, 2019. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Conway, Ark. Louise was born November 17, 1918, in Wynne, Ark., a daughter of William and Bessie (Littell) Adkins, and granddaughter of the late Pike and Amanda Littell. In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Thomas A. Paladino, a businessman and owner of three restaurants in Conway. They are survived by two sons; Thomas A. Paladino, Jr., of Springdale, Ark., and Jerry A. Paladino and his wife Nancy of Boca Raton, Fla.; grandsons, Wayne Paladino of Conway, Ark., and Matthew Paladino of Delray Beach, Fla. She was a graduate of Conway High School and a graduate of State College of Arkansas (now UCA) where she was an honors graduate and a member of Alpha Chi of Arkansas Gamma Chapter and also a member of the Gamma Beta Phi society. Mrs. Paladino was also a member of the Arkansas Education Society and a teacher in the Arkansas Public School System for 15 years. She spent an additional 15 running Paladino's Tutorial School where she worked one-on-one with students to help them achieve grade level status. She was a mother, grandmother and a great-grandmother. Louise was a volunteer teacher at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Conway where she taught RCIC (Rite of Christian Initiation for Children) a program for children seeking Baptism, Reconciliation, Communion, and Confirmation. She was involved in other church activities such as Perpetual Adoration and Christian Ladies Society. After her retirement, Louise volunteered at Margaret Van Elementary school for many years as a reading teacher to assist students to achieve grade level status in reading. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway at 1 p.m. Visitation one hour prior at noon. Burial in Crestlawn Memorial Park. Louise's family appreciates more than words can express the loving care that was given to her by her caregivers; Carolyn Smith, Diane Bausom, and her nieces; Brenda, Patricia, and Jenette Paladino, all of Conway, Ark.
