Clara B. Fowler, age 89, of Banks went to be with her heavenly father on Sunday, July 14, 2019, while in her home surrounded by family and friends. She was the daughter of Woodie Haywood Doggett and Mary Parnell Doggett. She professed her faith and joined the Crossroad Baptist Church at an early age. After graduating from Banks High School, she moved to Little Rock for work. On December 24, 1949, she married County Judge Joe L. Fowler who died May 2009. Clara will be remembered as a very kind spirited woman with a strong Christian faith. She was a long-time member, Sunday school teacher and Secretary/ treasurer of the Wagnon United Methodist Church. Her interests outside of her faith and family included gardening, reading and cooking. Her recipes are widely known in many cookbooks through out the area. Other than her parents and husband she was preceded in death by six brothers, Royce, Alvin, Everett, Earl, Leroy and J.C. and seven sisters, Beatrice Carmical, Estelle Powell, Irene Simmons, Agnes Cathey, Everie Doggett, Lois Ray, and Margie McDougald. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Diane Fowler, Banks, Sandra Wilson & Joyce Fowler Hoover (Darin), Little Rock and Thomas Joe Fowler (Pam), Pine Bluff. Grandchildren Michael Wyman, Banks, Robin Albers, (Andrew), Nashville, Tenn., Jason Wilson, Pleasanton, Calif., Mary Elizabeth (Missy) Fowler, Conway, Kara Hoover, Little Rock, great-grandchildren Brayden Wyman, Banks, Pasilee and Tinslee Albers, Nashville, Tenn. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at Fazer's Chapel. Burial is in Williams Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 19, at Frazer's.
