Tommy Aycock

Tommy Aycock, 81, of Stuttgart died July 14, 2019. He was born August 4, 1937 in DeWitt to John Aycock and Ella Duncan Aycock. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carylyn Rhoades Aycock; son, Brian Aycock and his wife Elizabeth of London, Ark.; two grandchildren, John and his wife Alena of Pollock, La., and Sarah of Stuttgart; five great-grandchildren, Conner, Carson, Abygail, Garrett, and Jacob; brother, Louis of Poplar Grove, Ark.; special cousins Roy Finley of Pine Bluff and Mary Alice Davis of Stuttgart; and other extended family. Tommy was a farmer and a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corp Reserves. He was an avid deer, duck, and turkey hunter, and fisherman. Tommy was well known as a nuisance animal trapper all over Arkansas County and the surrounding area. He loved his family and cherished the friendships he had made over the years. He personally wanted to say goodbye to all his friends, but time ran out. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. July 20 at Essex Funeral Home with visitation one hour before.
