Bertha LaVerne Creath, 82 of Dermott, Ark. departed this life Sunday, July 14, 2019. She was born in Dermott, Ark. to George and Elizabeth Smith. Mrs. Creath retired from teaching in the Dermott Public School System.
Bertha leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved daughter, Crystal (Tommie) Robinson, grandsons, Rashard Polk; Xavier Robinson; brother, Charles H. Smith Sr.; special niece, Sandra Mitchell of Little Rock, Ark. and lifelong friend, Nora Turner Briggs. A host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 19, 2019 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Davis Strickland Funeral Home with services Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 1 p.m. St. Paul Baptist Church; 119 N. Knox Street, Dermott, Ark.
