Margaret Griffin of Hot Springs Village, Ark. passed away on July 23, 2019. She was born in Johnson Chapel, Ark. on December 8, 1923 to the late Grover and Lennie (Lendermon) Hayley.
Margaret and her husband, Warren lived all over the world due to his service in the military. They moved to Hot Springs Village in 1970. The HSV Women's Golf Association Margaret Griffin Invitational is named after her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 56 years, Warren Edward Griffin; daughters, Patricia Ann Griffin-Ford and Elizabeth Joan Griffin-Hankins; sister, Vivian Hayley-Lambert; brothers, James and Herval Hayley; and great-grandchild, Evan Malone. Survivors include her son, Steven Griffin; and sister, Dora Holloway; grandchild, Hayley Elizabeth Malone; and two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Elizabeth Malone.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Village United Methodist Church in Hot Springs Village. Graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m at Johnson Chapel Cemetery in DesArc, Ark. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Johnson Chapel Cemetery Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 744, Des Arc, Ark. 72040.
