Edward Monroe Turner, 86, of North Little Rock, died Tuesday, July 23, 2019. He was born to the late J.D. and Eula Mae (Dorris) Turner in Camden. He is preceded in death by his siblings: Buddy Turner, Rosie Turner, and Lona Dunn. Edward was a charter member of Amboy Baptist Church. He was a 32nd degree Mason at the Big Rock Lodge and served as Grandmaster. Edward retired from MacMillan Bloedel as Production Manager after 44 years. During his retirement he enjoyed traveling with his wife. Edward is survived by his wife of almost 67 years, Carolyn Garrett Turner; two sons, Michael Turner, Scott Turner (Laura); daughter, Linda Harding (Rush); grandchildren: Presley Diaz of Georgetown, Texas, Hayden Turner of Greenwood, Shaylea McKay of Birmingham, Ala., and Rush "Buddy" Harding IV, and Payne Harding; great-grandchildren: Xander Scott Turner, Aubreigh Jackson, Jaden Diaz, Kylee Diaz, Ruby McKay, Elowen McKay, Rush "Five" Harding V, Wilder Harding, and Mila Harding; sister, Barbara Irby, and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark. 72116. Visitation will be one-hour prior service. Burial to follow at Edgewood Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Fox Ridge of North Little Rock for their loving care and to Hospice Home Care staff's compassion.
