Harold E. Smith

Harold E. Smith, 69, of Benton, passed away on July 28, 2019. He was born on January 28, 1950 in Benton to the late A.B. and Mary E. Atkins Smith. Harold was a veteran of the United States Army and worked as a mechanic for many years at Barton Freightliner. He is survived by his wife, Carol Smith, daughter, Melissa Smith and step daughter, Dena (Phillip) Hamilton; nine grandchildren. Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 3 p.m. Wednesday with Bro. John Bagby officiating. Visitation will be 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. before services on Wednesday.
