Mary Alice (Vinson) Staggs

Mary Alice (Vinson) Staggs, 93, of North Little Rock, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2019. She was born to the late Sidney Alfred and Ruth Mae (Whorton) Vinson on August 26, 1925 in London, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 ½ years, George Ruben Staggs; son, Gene Staggs; and 10 siblings. Mary loved singing in the church choir, celebrating holidays and birthdays with her family. When Gene was in the Cub Scouts, she enjoyed being the Den Mother during that time. Mary enjoyed long social lunches at her favorite restaurants such as Golden Corral and having her picture taken with everyone she saw. She loved spending time with her church families at First Assembly and Glad Tidings (Cross Journey) both in North Little Rock. Mary is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Boyett (Frank) of North Little Rock; daughter-in-law, June Staggs of Fayetteville; grandchildren: Roger Boyett, Melanie Reidy (Rev. Shawn), Jonathan Boyett (Amy), Adriane Harmeling (Hook), Stuart Staggs (Melissa), and Sayward Smith (Bryant); great-grandchildren: Shawn, Kennedy, Noah, Seth, and Nathan Reidy, Andrew and Matthew Boyett, Cayman and Sawyer Harmeling, Reed and Rowan Staggs, Alexis and Beckett Smith; and two brothers, Paul Vinson (Charlene) of Fayetteville, and Frank Vinson (Anita) of Searcy. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark. 72116. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday July 31, 2019 at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow service at 2 p.m. at North New Hope Cemetery, in Dover, Arkansas.
