Darrell Wayne Hankins

Darrell Wayne Hankins, 71, of Wynne, formerly of Forrest City, unexpectedly passed away on July 29, 2019 at Baptist Desoto Medical Center in Southaven, Mississippi. Darrell was born on January 22, 1948 to William C. and Lois Williams Hankins. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and retired as a tax auditor for the state of Arkansas. He is survived by his wife Ava (Rodery) of Wynne; a son, Richard (Jane) Hankins and grandsons, Avery and Daniel of San Jose, California; a daughter, Amber Haynes and granddaughters, Ava and Arden of Wynne; a brother, Billy Hankins (Nelda) of Brinkley; an aunt, Ruby Earnhardt of Hernando, Miss.; In-laws; Regina Crittenden (Jack) of Piggott; Rick Rodery (Cheryl) of Little Rock; Steve Rodery (Brenda) of Marion; Rebecca Riney (Russell) of Fenton, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews who he enjoyed watching grow up. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and a beloved son-in-law, Trent Haynes. Darrell was much loved and will be missed immensely. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Kernodle Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 at the Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery at Birdeye, Arkansas, with military honors.
