Jack Sidney Singleton

Jack Sidney Singleton, born March 23, 1940, died July 27, 2019. Jack lived an adventurous and rewarding life and was proud to participate in several great moments in history. Jack graduated from LRCH in 1957 and was saddened by the division and anger of the community surrounding integrating the school. This inspired his life-long passion for justice. He graduated from Hendrix College and received his MDiv from Perkins School of Theology at SMU. He was proud to be a Foot-soldier who marched with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Selma, Alabama. From that time on he devoted his life to fight for civil and voting rights for all. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; daughters, Jennifer Howland and Whitney (Rich) Bordelon; grandsons, Alexander Laubacher, Gabriel Laubacher, Zachary Bordelon, Mitchell Bordelon; siblings, Gayle (Jerry) Gardner, Tom (Gayle) Singleton, Steve (Becky) Singleton, Betsy (Victor) Snyder and their loving families. Funeral services will be July 31, 2 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 509 Scott Street, Little Rock. Arrangements by Watson Northcrest Funeral Home, 1801 Maple, North Little Rock, 501-812-5303.
