Rosemary McCarter, age 67, of Fayetteville passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019, at Washington Regional Hospital with her family by her side. She was born to parents Wallace and Mabel Phillips, March 19, 1952, in Le Mars, Iowa. "Rosie" graduated from Springdale High School in 1970 and started a family in 1976. Shortly thereafter, she started her career in the Pizza Business full time. She quickly found that her calling was investing in the lives of NWA Youth as they started their first jobs under her wing. Rosie worked as a manager at Jim's Razorback Pizza for over 35 years, had a strong work ethic, and loved the hundreds of patrons that she called family. Rosie is survived by her son, Wes Hill and his wife Stacci of Springdale; two grandchildren, Audrey Tipton and her husband Tyler of Prairie Grove; and Jaccob Hill of Springdale; two sisters, Lisa Jahnke and Debbie Zumbahlen; two brothers, Dennis and Bobby Phillips and multiple other family members; Rosie was preceded by both parents, and her brother Mike Phillips. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. with the funeral to follow at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Rosie's passion for higher education is one of the driving points of her work ethic. She often spoke of the importance of a college degree.
