Alma Virginia Sooter Brown, 86, of Rogers passed away June 2, 2019 in Rogers after a battle with multiple myeloma of the Bones and Brain. Alma was born in Rogers, February 12, 1933 to George Headly Sooter and Eva A. True Sooter. She worked in the chicken plants in Rogers and Springdale in her younger married years and Emerson Electric, with her husband William D. ‘Bill' Brown for Lion Oil Company and First Brands where she retired after 15 years. Her main goal in Life was to raise her five children, give them a good home and teach them the values of life. She is preceded in death by her husband Bill Brown. Her parents George and Eva Sooter, two brothers Russel and Alden Sooter, three sisters Roena Hickman, Vivian Dean and Reba Murphy, one son Jackie (Jack) Brown and one son in law Joe Weber. Alma is survived by four children and families Bob Brown and wife Teresa, Deborah and husband Myles McDaniel, Linda Weber, Jerry Brown and wife Debra; grandchildren Robin Brown, Jerrod Brown, Brian Brown, Braden Brown and wife Michelle, Nick and Kim Phillips; great-grandchildren Toby, Noah, Wyatt, Cameron, Reese; one sister Louise Harris Riley, one brother Donald Sooter and wife Thelma. Plus, many other relatives and friends. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2019 and service at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers.
