Bonnie McEuen of Conway, Ark. joined her husband of 60 years in their heavenly home on May 31, 2019. She was born in Joplin, Mo. to Ellis and Thelma Stewart on May 9, 1937. Her family moved to Mountain View where Bonnie attended school and graduated from Mountain View High School in 1954. Bonnie was the ultimate big sister and stand-in mother for her four siblings – Bob, E.W., Gary Don and Gwen. She joined the Southwestern Bell Telephone company in the stenographer department when she completed her business preparation course in 1956. It was at Southwestern Bell that Bonnie met a young Royce McEuen who was working in the mail room. That was the beginning of 60 happy years of marriage for Bonnie and Royce. Bonnie was the proud mother, of three children: Randy of Conway, Ark., Tim (Kim) of Flippin, Ark., and Cindy (Billy) of Bradford, Ark. Formerly residing in Forrest City, Arkansas, she was very active in her community and her church. Her work at the St. Francis Area Developmental Center was of special regard. Her kind spirit and intuitive nature brought out amazing results in all of the children she encountered. She had many different gifts that she shared with her church family at First Baptist Church in Forrest City. She had a special fondness for quilting and helping newcomers learn the art as well as heading up the church kitchen for many years with a few of her good sister-friends. Her positive spirit and infectious personality brought her many new buddies. After the passing of Royce in February 2018, Bonnie moved to Conway and joined the retirement community at College Square. It was a very special time in her life and served to bring special purpose to her. She expanded her horizons and enjoyed all the special offerings the community provided. She would often be teased that she had joined a Senior Ladies Sorority house and was living the time of her life. Her enthusiasm and positive spirit earned her many new friendships that she treasured. As much as she loved her family, there was a special love she felt for her grandchildren, Kandas (Timmy), Bonnie (Michael), and Holly. When she thought her heart could not be any fuller, along came the great-grandchildren, Kyle, Trinity, Wesley, Sarah, Ryan and Kaylee. Each would remind her of the special potential that the youngest would bring and the promise of a worthy future. Bonnie is survived by her sister, Gwen (Hank) Terrell of Cabot, Ark., sons, Randy McEuen of Conway, Ark., Tim (Kim) McEuen of Flippin, Ark., and daughter, Cindy McEuen (Billy Whitener) of Bradford, Ark., her grandchildren, Kandas (Timmy) Crawford of Paragould, Bonnie Aspedon (Micheal Gililland) of Morrilton, and Holly McEuen of Jonesboro. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, Kyle and Trinity McEuen, and Ryan, Kaylee, Wesley and Sarah Crawford of Paragould, Ark. Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2019, followed by funeral at 2 p.m. at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Private burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
