Carl A. Gunter, 84, of Stuttgart passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019. Mr. Gunter was born March 20, 1935, in Brinkley to Corbett and Willa Gunter. He was a Brinkley High School graduate and was in banking. He was a member of Grand Avenue United Methodist Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mindy Elizabeth Gunter. Survivors are his wife, Nellie Brown Gunter; two daughters, Rana Kerksieck (John) and Sharon Seidenschwarz (Dennis), all of Ulm; two sisters, Anita Miley (Jerry) of Brinkley and Brenda Thompson (Wayne) of Moro; three granddaughters, Elizabeth "Libby" Atkinson (Chris), Ashley Kerksieck and Paige Seidenschwarz; and two great-grandsons, Ethan and Elliot Atkinson.
Funeral services, officiated by Rev. Luke Parker, are 11 a.m. Friday at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church with visitation one hour before. Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart. Memorials may be made to Grand Avenue United Methodist Church or Stuttgart Public Library.
