Larry Joe Duffield, 68, died at his home on Amelia Island, Florida, on June 7, 2019. He was born on July 24, 1950 in Russellville, Arkansas. Larry is survived by his mother, Ernestine Duffield, and preceded in death by his father, Billy Duffield. He also leaves behind a brother Randy (Katy) Duffield; Aunt Florida "Sister" Linda Duffield; nephew Blake (Leslie) Duffield and their children Amelia and Garrett; special family and friends Sheri Hutfles, Bob Hardin, Debbie Rose Lewis, Kayln Rose, Beaux Broach, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends and buddies. If anyone knew how to live life, it was "Duff"—on water skis, in a bass or trout boat, at his condo or on a construction site, on the golf course, or cheering on the Hogs— especially with his many friends and family—Larry was always quick with a smile and a helping hand. He wore his quick wit and his soft heart on his sleeve for all to see. It's often cliché to hear people say: "everyone who knew him loved him," but with Larry, it wasn't a cliché at all. It was truth. Our hearts are saddened today, but as we turn this page, we experience extreme comfort knowing that through the loving grace of God, we will see Larry again—and the next time we see him, it won't be for just a short while—it will be for eternity. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at 6 p.m. at Humphrey Funeral Home in Russellville, Arkansas. Gatherings to celebrate his life will also be held in Amelia Island, Florida and Little Rock, Arkansas on dates to be determined.
