Georgiana Camille Lange Gunn, of Little Rock, daughter of Catherine "Catsy" Clyburn Lange and Barron Lester Lange, our GiGi, passed away on June 10, 2019 after a long journey with dementia surrounded by her family who adored her. She was born Sept. 6, 1939 in Little Rock, Ark and graduated from Little Rock Central High School in 1957. While attending the University of Arkansas she was a very proud member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and graduated with a degree in education and a minor in art. As a young woman her love for children led her to teach first grade. But as time passed, her true love, passion and talent for interior design emerged. She was well known and sought after as one of Arkansas' most gifted designers. Excellence in design led to achieving the ASID accreditation. While traveling extensively in search of the finest antiques she opened her first business, Antiques Limited. As a savvy businesswoman, she and her late husband opened the I-40 Antique Center to fill a niche for authentic antiques sales in Arkansas. Georgiana was an active member and volunteer of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. She was otherwise involved in the community, generously giving her time to such organizations as Florence Crittenton Home, Twentieth Century Club, YWCA and Kappa Kappa Gamma Sustainers. Georgiana was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Leland Gunn. She is survived by her daughter, Lange Gunn Cheek and husband Richard and her precious grandchildren Richard Cheek, Jr., Catherine Lange Cheek, and Barron Grace Cheek, all of Little Rock. She is also survived by her brother Tim Lange and wife Barbara of Allen, Texas. Our GiGi was a beautiful soul with a compassionate and loving heart. Even towards the end, she was still nurturing the residents around her at Woodland Heights. Our deepest gratitude goes out to her precious caregivers and staff of Woodland Heights and First Choice Senior Care including but not limited to Romanda, KeShawn, Byneisha, Regan, Yvette, Chanta, Elle, Pamela, Katrina, Re'ven, Marquita, Harriet, Tonye, Marilyn, Jaquette, Jerika, Ashley, Stacy, Renee, Amaris, Heide, Felicia, Carissa, Sheila, Calandra, Myesia, Courtney and Machelle. The family also want to give special thanks to the wonderful staff at Kindred Hospice, including Courtney, Summer, Nicole, Kathy and Jennifer. A celebration of a life well lived will be held at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church on Friday June 14, 2019 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held the evening before at Ruebel Funeral Home on Thursday June 13, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com.
