Thomas Andrew "Andy" Reed

Thomas Andrew Reed "Andy", 50, of Maumelle, passed in peace Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Ark. He was born May 8, 1969 in Pine Bluff, the son of Thomas Aikin Reed "Tommy" and Jane Walker Reed Booth. Andy is survived by his loving children, Meg Elizabeth Reed of Bella Vista and Ian Andrew Reed of Maumelle as well as the mother of his children, Kristie Conery Reed of Bella Vista. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Virginia and Dave Walker, paternal grandparents, Burel Edward Reed and Emma Elizabeth (Aikin) Reed; his aunt Ann Walker Worley and his uncle Terry Glenn Reed. Andy was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff. After receiving his education at Pine Bluff High School, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville and ITT Technical Institute, he was the Vice President of Information Technology Security and Business Continuity at Arkansas Federal Credit Union in Jacksonville, Ark. for 22 years. Andy enjoyed being outdoors. His hobbies included boating, cycling, hiking, photography, and astronomy. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the East Cove Conference Center at Mountain Harbor Resort & Spa on Lake Ouachita. East Cove Conference Center is located at 994 Mountain Harbor Road, Mt Ida, Ark. 71957 (approximately 1.5 hours from Little Rock). Cremation arrangements are entrusted to the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale.
