Margaret Katherine Lewis Szakasits

Margaret Katherine Lewis Szakasits, aged 79, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, died in Willard Walker Hospice at 12:20 am on June 12, 2019. Mrs. Szakasits was born in Buckner, Arkansas to Ethelyn Futrell Lewis and Wyatt Lewis. She was married to Julius Szakasits for 59 years. She had been a teacher and then principal in Texas in the Cypress Fairbanks School District. She was loved by teachers and the students who would rush to hug her in the grocery years later. She retired and, with her husband Julius, came to live in Fayetteville, Arkansas to love and care for her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Julius Szakasits, her daughters Monika Szakasits and Maria Mullins, her son-in-law James Mullins, her grandchildren Margaret and Henry Mullins, her brother John Lewis of Eagan, Minnesota, and numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
