Michael Lee Glidden, 74, was called Home on Memorial Day, May 27, 2019. He was born May 3, 1945 in Orange, Texas to Wilmer Preston Glidden and Mildred Emily Matthews.
While attending the University of Arizona he met and married his wife Faithann. They moved to Dallas, Texas where he completed his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and went on to specialize in Anesthesiology. During his senior year of medical school, he was commissioned as an officer in The United States Navy where he served honorably for seven years. After leaving the Navy he moved his family to Little Rock, Arkansas where he practiced Anesthesia for 40 years.
Michael loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all of his heart and cherished his family. He and Faithann were married for fifty years and raised four sons. His seven grandchildren were the light of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Faithann Glidden; son, Matthew; son, Aaron (Kristie) and their children Grace, Aaron, Jr., Hannah, Jacob; son, Joel (Raleigh) and his son Micah; son, Ryan (Melissa) and their children Elle and Jackson; mother, Mildred Emily White; sister, Beverly Williamson (Glenn) and her sons Shayne and Cole (Shana) and their daughters Lily and Olivia. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilmer Preston Glidden and stepfather, Malcolm E. White, M.D.
He was a gifted man and a gift from God to all of us.
Funeral Services were held Saturday June 1, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Park, Nacogdoches, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Little Rock Compassion Center - 3618 W. Roosevelt Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.
