Marguerite Gamble

MARGUERITE GAMBLE, 90, died June 2, 2019. She was born October 24, 1928 in Little Rock, Arkansas, daughter of the late William Robinson Gamble and the late Marguerite Hussman Gamble. She attended Little Rock public schools and graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi fraternity, Phi Beta Kappa honor fraternity and several honor societies. Miss Gamble was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral and the Junior League of Little Rock. She held offices, board memberships, and chairmanships in several organizations including the Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Club of Little Rock, Quapaw Quarter Association, Chamber Music Society of Little Rock; Arkansas Travelers Baseball Club, Friends of the Central Arkansas Library, and the local chapter of Public Relations Society of America. She also served as a volunteer at the Decorative Arts Museum and the Vineyard-in-the-Park at the Arkansas Arts Center. Survivors include several cousins. Funeral services are private. Service arrangements are entrusted to Ruebel Funeral Home.
