Charles Evert Robbins, 84, of Owasso, Oklahoma, and former northwest Arkansas resident, died Thursday, June 20, 2019. He was born June 23, 1934 in Dover, Ark., to Otto and Rosalie (Carpenter) Robbins. Charles met and married Mary in 1955 in Linden, California. Charles served in the U. S. Army and was an expert rifleman. He was a carpenter throughout his life and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Above all he was devoted to God and his family. Charles accepted Christ Jesus at age twenty and never looked back. Their family moved to Springdale, Arkansas, in 1971. He and Mary spent many years teaching Sunday school and were long time members of Faith Assembly of God in Springdale and later attended Bella Vista Assembly of God. Charles is survived by his wife, Mary (Fowler) Robbins; daughter Sherry Wright and husband Doug of Owasso; sister Ruth Flewellen of Lodi, Calif.; sisters-in-law, Jean Ford and Carolyn Adams, both of California; three grandchildren: Derrick Wright, Ryan LaBounty, Jerryd LaBounty and wife Jenny; three great-grandchildren: Charity, Madelynn, and Charlie LaBounty, and many loved nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Terry LaBounty. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, at Bluff Cemetery.
