Cheryl Ann Smith, 70, of Alexander, joined her husband and parents in Heaven June 25, 2019. Born in Little Rock to Truman and Joyce Thomas Gray, she served over 40 years at Arkansas Children's Hospital and was a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene. Cheryl was known by so many by the way that she loved. The way that she loved her family, the way that she loved people, the way that she loved animals, the way that she cared for the unseen, the voiceless, was so beautiful. Her heart was beautiful, and it honored her Savior and Lord, Christ Jesus. (John 21: 15-17). While she relishes in the presence of Almighty God, those of us left in waiting will miss her deeply, while we also eagerly anticipate joining her in His presence. Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles Michael Smith, she is survived by her son, Joshua Michael Smith and wife, Danica, of Conway; daughter, Shannon Ramer and husband, Doug, of Little Rock; and grandchildren, Landon Ramer, Marlee Grayce Smith and Jude Michael Smith. Visitation will be today, Sunday, June 30 from 3-5 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Funeral services will be Monday, July 1 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Church of the Nazarene, followed by interment at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. As Cheryl's passion was caring for homeless animals, memorials may be made to Feline Rescue and Rehome (FuRR), P.O. Box 250567, Little Rock, AR 72225, www.teamfurr.org. Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home, (501) 224-2200. Cheryl's online guestbook may be signed at www.littlerockfuneralhome.com.
