Gene Booth Pierce

Gene Booth Pierce, 94, died at Providence Assisted Living on June 21, 2019. She was a graduate of Searcy High School and received an Associates degree from Christian College for Young Women and a B.S. Degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Phoenix Club, American Association of University Women, Daughters of the American Revolution, P.E.O. and was a former board member of Good Hope Industries. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel Rogers and Greenwood Clayton Booth, stepmother, Margarite Welch Booth; husband, Billy Joe Pierce; one son, Dr. Joseph Booth Pierce; and one step-brother, Morgan Welch of Burnesville, N.C. She is survived by one son, Dr. Jim (Lisa) Pierce, and daughter-in-law, Pam Pierce. She is also survived by one step-sister, Frances Farrell of Brinkley, Ark. as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Chris Pierce, Courtney Pierce (Paul) Kelly of Little Rock, AR and Stacia Pierce (Daniel) Compton of Heber Springs, Ark. and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held July 1, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home with Funeral Service at First Christian Church in Searcy, Ark. on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at White County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to the charity of your choice. All services are under the direction of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home, Searcy.
