James "Jim" F. Penn, 79, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 28, 2019. He was born on November 4, 1939 in Creston, Iowa. He was a faithful member of the First Christian Church of Little Rock. He was also a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. Jim enjoyed sailing, camping, playing snooker and building things. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lynn Penn, daughter, Christy Marie Simons of Bryant, father in law, Everett Stinnett, granddaughter, Sara Marie Tally (Robert) of Benton, great grandson, Rhett Tally of Benton, special niece Cara Norris (Todd) of Sherwood as well as his sister Sallie Lorenz (Leif) of Roland and niece, Stacey Mitchell of Little Rock. Jim is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Ruth Penn and nephew, Leif Lorenz, Jr. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Roller-Chenal Funeral, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas with Reverend Charlie Wallace and Reverend Bill Odom officiating.
