Kermit Braxton Garriss

Kermit Braxton Garriss, 77, of Fayetteville, died on June 20, 2019 after a 14-year battle with Alzheimer's. Braxton attended The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia and went on to serve as LT JG in the Navy onboard the USS Arcturus during Vietnam. He attended Richmond Union Theological Seminary graduating with a Masters of Divinity. He also earned an RN degree from U of A. Braxton was a Presbyterian pastor serving churches in Arkansas, West Virginia, and Virginia. He worked as campus minister at the U of A United Campus Ministry for several years and as a Home Health nurse. Service at St. Paul's Episcopal Church at 11 a.m. July 16.
