Marilyn Joann Swift

MARILYN JOANN SWIFT, 88, of North Little Rock went home to be with the Lord Thursday, February 21, 2019. She was born on November 1, 1930, in Evansville, Ind., to John Gilbert and Alvina (Stadler) Barton. Her working career began in 1971, and she retired after serving 40 years with Tyson Foods, where she had many friends. She was an animal lover and always helping not only her own, but helpless or homeless animals of all kinds. She was partial to cats. Joann is survived by her children, Leslie Evans and Tom Swift (Lisa); grandchildren, Thomas K. James (Roxanne), Kimberly Daniel (John), Thomas R. Swift (Mitzi), Rusty Swift (Lindsey), and Justin Swift; great-grandchildren, Hayley, Kinsey, Madelyn, Macy, Macks, and Blake Ivy. Joann's final resting place here on earth will be in her hometown of Evansville, Ind., alongside her parents in Parklawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a Humane Society of your choice.
