Samuel L. Raines

SAMUEL L. RAINES passed away on February 27, 2019. He was born on August 13, 1938, in Little Rock and was a lifelong resident. Sam was in the real estate business and loved looking at properties on his motorcycle wearing his legendary bandana. He was passionate about racquet ball and proudly displayed his Senior Olympic championship medals. He is preceded in death by his parents, E. E. and Mary Raines; brother, Gene Raines; and sister, Jane Baugus. He is survived by his loving partner, Lyndia Ann Medley; a sister, Mary Toney; a daughter, Snow Raines Hendryx; two grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. A graveside service for family and friends will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Little Rock, Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 11 a.m. Arrangements are by Ruebel Funeral Home. Donations on his behalf can be made to the Wolfe Street Center in Little Rock.
