Wilda Anneta Cooper, 81, of Springdale passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at her home. She was born November 15, 1937 in Madison County to Leroy Shepherd and Irma Barton-Shepherd.
She was a strong Christian woman that believed, "Can't was not a word". She had many talents such as quilting, gardening and woodworking just to name a few.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 30 yrs, Alvia Cooper; brother, Kenneth Shepherd and sister, Wanda Laird.
Survivors include her three sons, Tim Sloan and wife Dian and Randy Sloan and wife Patricia both of Springdale and Allen Sloan of Huntsville; brother, Bob Shepherd and wife Juanita of Batesville; grandchildren, Casey, Katie, Chris, Christy and Walter; great grandchildren, Elly, Paxton, Evan, Tyler, Aubrey and Harley and several other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from noon-2 p.m. at the Hope Freewill Church, 297 Madison 7510, Fayetteville, Ark., 72703 on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. with Rev. Eldon Bagwell officiating. Burial will follow at Buckeye Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
