Cornelia "Joyce" (Brown) Burroughs, 88, of Texarkana, Ark. went to be the Lord on Monday, March 4, 2019. She was born October 19, 1930 to the late Walter and Willie (Bradford) Brown. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William "Dock" Burroughs, and 2 sons, William Russell Burroughs and Bobby Paul Burroughs. Joyce was of the Baptist faith. She devoted her life to the Lord and her family. Joyce enjoyed many things like reading, sewing, and gardening. However, what she loved most was spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. Joyce was loved very much by her friends and family, who will dearly miss her smile. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Phyllis Burroughs of Texarkana and Trish Walls (Ronnie) of Damascus; one son Jeff Burroughs (Julie) of Texarkana, three grandchildren, Ryan Walls (Alyson), Jessica Hall (Andy), and Blake Burroughs; five great-grandsons, Bayler & Silas Hall, Case & Cruz Walls, and Jackson Burroughs; sister, Robbie Gutierrez, brother, Bob Brown and many other family & friends who will all miss her dearly. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier. There will be a private family graveside service at Pine Mountain Cemetery.
