John Lester Engles

John Lester Engles, born February 26, 1939, passed away on March 3, 2019. He was born in Jackson, Tenn. to Joseph E. Engles and Estelle Presson Engles. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Estelle Engles, his wife, Betsy Maddox Engles and his son, Thomas Engles. He is survived by his son, Joe W. Engles, Daughter Leah E. Blackwood (Merlin), three grandchildren, Thomas Engles, Rylie Blackwood, and Cason Blackwood. He was business man, farmer, and a pilot who was very involved in the aviation community. He served in the Tennessee National Guard and attended University of Tennessee at Martin. He enjoyed flying his family on vacations, working on the farm, and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, who are family alike. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Camden, Tenn.
