Robert C Barnett

Robert Curtis "Bob" Barnett of Merrillville, Indiana went to be with his Lord on Sunday, March 3, 2019. He was born June 25, 1934 in Ft. Worth, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.E. and Helen Gorham Barnett. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Martha Ann Barnett, one daughter, Carol Palmer and husband Jerry of Schererville, Indiana; one son, David Barnett and wife Amy of Woodstock Georgia; and four grandchildren, Callie Bryant and husband Haden of Springdale, Arkansas, Benjamin Barnett of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Adam Barnett of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Katie Palmer of Schererville, Indiana. Bob was a long-time member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Little Rock, Arkansas where he was an ordained deacon and taught an adult Sunday School class for over 15 years. He was manager of the Baptist Book Store in Little Rock for over 25 years, managing its original location on Markham Street and retired shortly after managing its move to its current location. He was a graduate of East Texas Baptist University with degrees in English and History, and later attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. Carrying out the wishes of their father and grandfather, after cremation the family will be planning a memorial service in Arkansas at a date to be determined.
