Billie Ann Standrod Ray

West Memphis, AR, 1931 - 2019

Mrs. Billie Ann Standrod Ray, 87, of West Memphis, Ark., formerly of Marianna, Ark. died Thursday, March 7, 2019 at her home she shared with her daughter, Mary, in West Memphis, Ark.
Mrs. Ray was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marianna, Ark. but attended the First United Methodist Church of West Memphis, Ark. She was a licensed insurance agent, a legal assistant and a bookkeeper. She was also a past president of the Marianna Junior Auxiliary, a Boy Scout leader, a licensed private pilot and a spokesperson for the Mid-South Transplant Foundation.
Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin L. Standrod and Ina Harris Standrod, her husband, Carrold E. Ray Sr., two sisters, Melva Lea Holseberg and Corrine Rich and two brothers, John (Buddy) Standrod and Donald Standrod. She is survived by her son, Carrold E. Ray Jr. (Yulonda) of Little Rock, Ark., her daughter, Mary Ray Taylor (Mike) of West Memphis, Ark.; a brother, Terry Ronald Standrod (Ester) of Hepzibah, Ga.; two sisters, Becky Fleming of West Memphis, Ark.; and Evelyn "Polly" Foster of Nashville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Christie Summerford (Josh) and Anna Taylor of Fayetteville, Ark.; Audrey Ray and Amelia Ray of Little Rock, AR; three great-grandchildren, Owen, Ava Kate, and Collin Summerford of Fayetteville, Ark.; her special friend and caregiver, Mae Barton of Crawfordsville, Ark. and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 12 noon until service time at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, Ark. with burial following at Marianna Memorial Park in Marianna, Ark.
