Ray H. Mills, age 100, of Fayetteville passed away Monday March 11, 2019 in Fayetteville. He was born February 8, 1919 in Brentwood, Arkansas the son of Clifford and Cora DeVore Mills. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Pauline Dockery Mills; six brothers and two sisters, five step-brothers and two step-sisters. He served in the US Army during World War II earning the Combat Medic Badge and the Bronze Star among other service ribbons and citations. He worked as a pharmacy technician for the VA and was a member of Baldwin Church of Christ. He loved to hunt, fish and garden in his spare time. He is survived by his four sons Jack Mills and his wife Pamela, Bill Mills and his wife Brenda, Ronnie Mills and his wife Sharla and John Mills all of Fayetteville; one step-brother, Bob Adams of Winslow; 10 grandchildren Melisa DeLoach, Matt Mills, Meredith Bramlett, Lisa Bryant, Lori Mills, Beau Mills, Lacie Mills, Steve Lewis, Lindsay Sherry and Rachael Sherry; 25 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Friday March 15, 2019 at Moore's Chapel. A funeral service will be officiated by Dr. Bruce Bryant at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Baldwin Church of Christ with burial to follow at Sunset Cemetery.
