Robert Ivan Miskimen

Robert Ivan Miskimen, aged 93 died at home in Bella Vista, Arkansas on March 10, 2019, the second son of Elmo and Lena nee Panwitz, Miskimen. He grew up near Alliance, Nebraska, schooled in a rural school, graduating from Alliance High School in 1943 with a State Farmer Award in the Future Farmers of America and was a member of the Honor Society. Robert attended the Concordia Theological Seminary graduating in 1952. He married Lois Magdalena Hoffmeyer in 1951. The couple has nine children and 21 grandchildren. Lois preceded him in death in April of 2005. He is survived by his wife, Fae Miskimen, Bella Vista, Ark.; (Charles) and Victoria Maaske, Horicon, Wis.; (Dennis) and Carolyn Sayles, Oak Harbor, Wash.; (Richard) and Elizabeth Jackson, Oak Creek, Wis.; Grace Miskimen, Ridgecrest, Caif.; Robert and (Adonna) Miskimen, Avon, Ind.; (Weldon) and Christine Kunzemen, Juneau, Wis. (Rev. James) and Eunice Harris, Apple Valley, Calif.; Carl and (Jaimie) Miskimen, Lodi, Wis. and Karen Miskimen, Madison, Wis.; brothers and sister, Ernest (Rosa) Miskimen, Minitare and (Harry) and Marie Safford, Bayard, Neb.; Harvey (Grace) Miskimen, Jefferson City, Mo. as well as Victoria Lehenbauer, Oviedo, Fla.; (Leo) and Alma Gross, N Olmstead, Ohio; Roger and (Diane) Gliedt, Rogers, Ark.; Eric and (Angela) Gliedt, San Antonio, Texas; Donna Fantozzi, St. Louis, Mo. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Infant Carl and Louis (Patty) Miskimen. Grandchildren surviving him are James, Daniel and Peter Maaske; Rachael and Dr. Griffith Sayles; Richard, Wade and Dr. Heather Jackson; Dr. Robert Miskimen, III, Simon, Jeremiah, Noah and Susanna Miskimen; Victoria Schweitzer, Katryna Roush; Timothy and Joshua Harris; Abbey, Tessa and Nickolas Miskimen. There are seven great-grandchildren surviving. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Lois Magdalene nee Hoffmeyer, April 14, 2005. Celebration of Life services will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Bella Vista Lutheran Church in Bella Vista, Ark. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to service time at the church. The family will receive friends at this time. Interment will be in the Alliance (NE) Cemetery by his wife, Lois of 53 years, 7 months and 27 days. "Lord now let Your servant depart in peace."
