Ealgie Aubrey Gilbert Sr.

EALGIE AUBREY GILBERT SR., 91, of Little Rock, Ark., departed this life March 14. He is preceded in death by his grandchildren: Gabriel Carlson Gilbert, Yolanda Johnson and Carmen Smith, parents: Bossie Gilbert Sr., and Rebecca McDonald, siblings: Johnny Gilbert Sr., Ethel Gilbert, and Edmond Gilbert Sr. His ministry journey began in 1951 serving congregations in Cotton Plant, Ark.; England, Ark.; and Russellville, Ark. He established ministry work at the following churches: Dixie Church of Christ in North Little Rock, Ark.; Sweet Home Church of Christ in Sweet Home, Ark.; College Heights Church of Christ in Pine Bluff, Ark., East Side Church of Christ in Little Rock, Ark.; and East Moline Church of Christ in Malvern, Ark.. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife: Jerome Sally Gilbert; children Erma Dell (James) Savage of Little Rock, Ark., Wayne Lee of Baton Rouge, La., Clara (Kenneth) Collins of Little Rock, Ark., Ealgie "Jack" (Sandra) Gilbert Jr. of Little Rock, Ark., Larry (Brenda) Gilbert Sr. of Little Rock, Ark., Annette Gilbert of Little Rock, Ark., and Adron (Gwen) of Little Rock, Ark.; siblings: Mary Edwards of Little Rock, Ark.; Bossie Gilbert Jr. of Flint, Mich.; Willie McDonald Jr. of Oakland, Calif.; Jimmy McDonald of North Little Rock, Ark.; 45 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. All funeral services honoring Ealgie's life will be held at Central Church of Christ 823 W 6th St. Little Rock, Ark. 72206.
